The importance of Marriage

Marriage is very important to our society as it provides stability, growth and structure. The reason people are not getting married nowadays is because they are selfish. Then again it is human nature to satisfy only their wants and needs. Marriage is about uniting and becoming one with the other person and it also mean sharing responsibilities. Every individual just wants to enjoy their freedom, focus on their careers and enjoy their life. Another reason is that people have such high expectations when it comes to marriage that it never happens. People watch so many movies these days that they believe that when they get married, their life will become perfect and everything will be fine. That is not the case, but marriage is a tradition that has been practiced for ages. Saying that marriage is not important is like saying our society is not important and that needs to be changed. Not getting married has resulted in a decline in our demographics and this will affect our society in the future. As it said in the video, children brought up in a family are more likely to do better in life and not have behavioral or emotional problems. Studies have also shown that women who are married are more likely to be happier and healthier than single women. It has been proven that men and women who are married are better financially and also that they both become more responsible and caring when they get children. It is clear that marriage is an important aspect of our society and if it continues to decline, we will be living in an unwholesome society.
