Quebec students have it easy.

Quebec students are paying $2000 for tuition per year while Ontario students pays $ 5000 per year. They are already having for cheap and now they seem to want it for free. They keep saying that education is human right and it should be free but nowadays everything is controlled by private corporations. Universities are private corporations and they can't expect to get everything for free. It seems that the quebec government can't put up a fight and show that they already have it for cheap. If they are going to accept all demands of students just because of a strike then sooner or later, their government will crash down. Quebec people need to stop expecting everything for free and start looking around them. In all the other provinces, we all have student loans and we try to get part-time jobs to pay for it. Its not easy but we make sacrifice and manage to pay all our debts in the end. The government should be more serious and not give up so easily unless they want students to soon start doing useless strikes to just get what they want. If they take a stand and fight off the strikes, soon students will the power to control the government.

Authorities are abusing the use of tasers.

A man was tasered to death by the authority in Vancouver airport last month. In the video, we can see the man was pleading and acting defensively while our national force looked like a gang of thugs beating the poor innocent guy who couldn't even speak English to death. They said that he was sweating, agitated and acting weird but that is still not a good reason to beat him to death. There were other ways of dealing with someone like that. Maybe he was lost or anxious because he was in a new country where he can't even ask for help as he doesn't speak English. They could have tried to calm him down and then find someone who could translate for them. Instead they just rushed him down and tasered him to death. We are surpassingly living in an educated society and yet we see those barbaric behaviors that make us think if humans have really evolved over the years. Innocent people are dying everyday because of useless wars where bombs are being dropped on people as if they were animals. Is killing the only solution??? The man was screaming horrible sounds of pain while he was being tasered and beaten to death like an animal. Over the past years, authorities have been abusing the use of tasers and unless they start thinking before reacting, more innocent people are going to die a brutal death.

female stars have gone nuts and we like to laugh at them.

Some people might wonder why there are so many stories on female stars and not much on the male stars. Well, first because the target of magazines such as star magazine targets women. Women usually like to read about other women and feel good about themselves. Also, the female stars of today have lost their minds and are doing the dumbest and craziest things. Lindsay Lohan and Britney spears are going to pubs naked while Paris Hilton is making porn videos. Most of the other female stars are either doing drugs or something crazy somewhere. Male don't usually do this much. You won't hear about a male star going to the pub naked. Since most of these female stars have gone crazy, people like to read about them so that they can get a good laugh. Some of the things these female celebrities do are so unimaginable and weird that its funny. I guess they have so much money that they don't really know what to do with it. Even though most of them say they hate all the stories about them, they actually love it. You will never see or read a long article of Britney winning a music award, you are most likely to read a long article about her stealing her baby or getting drunk and beating her baby up. Good or bad, these gossips and stories is what made those people famous. If you ask someone who’s Paris Hilton, he will probably tell you that she is the one in the porn video. Most of the time you will hear the bad ones because people like it when all the famous crazy celebrities fall on their face as it brings them back to earth like the rest of us. As we learned in communication, people tend to remember the negative things more than the good ones and I think the female celebrity’s stories prove this very well.

Apple revolutionized the music industry with Itunes

Apple has changed the lives of thousands of people with the creation of iTunes. This helped artists as well as the customers. People are able to download the songs they like for a reasonable price. Now, instead of waiting in lines to buy one cd in which you probably like only couple of songs for 20 bucks, you can sit comfortably at home and download the ones you prefer. Of course, the big corporations like NBC won't like it because now they are no longer able to monopolize the music industry and this has resulted in a decrease in their market power. The iTunes is easily accessible, practical and cheaper than buying an actual cd and plus it also helps reduce illegal downloading of music. The other advantage with iTunes is that you can find all your favourite artists online and you know that it will never run out of copies. Before iTunes came along, the music industries were completely dominating the market and they were charging exorbitant amounts for cds and all the money went mostly to the music industries. As everyone likes to gain more and more, it's only normal that the music corporations won't like losing money to Apple and they will try all they can to regain their domination. Their profits went down by a lot when iTunes came out as iTunes were selling songs for 99c. The big corporations were obliged to reduce price in order to compete with Apple but with all their extra costs like paying distributors and all, they were unable to compete with this technological revolution. Nowadays, most people have an iPod and everyone downloads from iTunes. I believe that we now live in a society run by technology and with the new generation, iTunes will definitely prosper whereas the stores selling cds will eventually close down as no one will buy a cd for 20$ when they can buy songs for 99c. As Adam Smith the father of economics once said, every man will do what's best for himself, and thus it only makes sense that everyone will rather pay 99c than 20$.
